  • Weekly posts with complete instructions and templates for each letter of the alphabet.

Here’s What You’ll Need

pictures showing all the craft materials needed

The list below contains everything you’ll need to create an entire set of ABC Crafts.

  • Printer paper
  • An assortment of card stock
  • 42 “googly” eyes
  • Glue sticks
  • Pencil
  • Markers
  • Scissors
  • Clear reinforcement labels (optional)

Turn Your Crafts into an ABC Animal Book!

If you’d like a great way to store the craft pages as your child completes them, turn them into a fun and colorful ABC Animal book! Download your cover and color guide here, and then choose one of these two methods:

  1. Slip your completed craft pages into plastic page protectors and place them into a 3-ring binder. Print the cover sheet for a great finishing touch!
  2. Print a cover sheet and then use a 3-hole punch to punch holes through the letter craft pages and cover sheet. Reinforce the holes with clear reinforcement labels. Tie your pages together with yarn or string.

says:

My preschooler is really enjoying these! He asks me every day if we can do another letter animal. Great job!

Robin E.

says: Customer Service

Amanda,
Too cute! We love that these can build joyful anticipation!

Jessica

says:

So cute, I need to do this with my preschooler.

Robin E.

says: Customer Service

Jessica,
We have had lots and lots of reports that these crafts are fun for little ones and not too difficult for mom to prepare. The perfect combination!

Keylee

says:

we are enjoying the letter crafts. We are doing Alpha Omega Lifepac kindergarten and the letters learned are not in alphabetical order. I would love to use them as fun and reinforcement of the ones we are working on. Do you have all the letters or do I need to wait and get them weekly in alphabetical order?

Robin E.

says: Customer Service

Keylee,
We’re happy to hear you are enjoying the letter crafts. Please look for an email.

Angie

says:

We are really enjoying the ABC animal book was wondering if you had patterns for lower case as well

Robin E.

says: Customer Service

Angie,
We’re pleased to hear you are enjoying these crafts!

We don’t have lower case crafts at this time, but we do have plans for them! We don’t have a set date, however, and it wouldn’t be until after the capital crafts are finished.

Cary Beth

says:

We are using the All About Reading prereading set (which we LOVE) but are doing an uppercase letter per day, since my son is 5.5, and we will finish and switch to the AAR Level 1 curriculum mid year…anyway, I WISH these were all already available, as I would like to use them alongside the curriculum lessons. But thanks for the awesome free printables!

Melissa

says:

I love this idea, but my super energetic boys wont sit still to make this kind of stuff

Robin E.

says: Customer Service

Melissa,
Yes, it is difficult to find things for very active little ones. Take a look at the other letter learning activities we have. They may be willing to try our ABC Playdough Mats or our Alphabet Building Blocks.

Colleen

says:

Love the animal letter characters!

Kelli

says:

This looks fun… I may have to use these guy for my preschooler while his older brother works through all about reading pre reading level

D Shriver

says:

Love it! I did something similar when my children were younger.

Jen

says:

Love these! Are there any plans for a similar lowercase set?

Robin E.

says: Customer Service

Jen,
I’m not aware of any plans for a lowercase ABC craft series. However, we have many alphabet activities that do include lowercase. Feed the Puppy, Tactile Letter Cards, ABC Caterpillar, and ABC Playdough Mats all contain lowercase letters.

Robin E.

says: Customer Service

Jen,
I asked about a lower case craft series and was told we ARE planning to do one. However, we don’t have a timeframe yet.

Judy Watkins

says:

Thank you so much! This is way better than the black and white printable worksheets that I used with my older kids when they were 4.
So much fun! Our youngest gets to do all the fun stuff!

Robin E.

says: Customer Service

Judy,
At least you have a youngest child still at an age to enjoy these crafts. My “baby” is 10 and I have gotten a little nostalgic over these and some of the other great preschool stuff we have come out with in the last few years.

Enjoy these super cute animal letters for me!
