Have Questions about Birds of a Feather?

What’s the difference between this review book and your activity books in All About Reading and All About Spelling?

This is a supplemental “review book” rather than an “activity book.” The activity books for AAR include games, activities, Word Flippers, Practice Sheets, and fluency- and comprehension-building exercises. The activity books for AAS include games, activities, Word Banks, and Advanced Application sheets.

The main differences between the two:

  • Birds of a Feather has 16 review activities used to review any reading or spelling words that you want to practice.
  • The activity books for AAS Color 1 and 2 contain Rule Posters, Word Banks, Advanced Application, scaffolding activities, and many more review activities. These activities are geared toward each specific lesson to enhance the learning of that concept.
Are there any samples available?
Do I have to use All About Reading or All About Spelling to use this book?

No, you can use these activities to review any reading or spelling words you like. Additionally, you can use the activities to review other things, such as vocabulary words or math facts!

Who is Birds of a Feather for?

It is a natural fit for these three groups of people:

  • Customers who have the black-and-white version of AAS but would like to add colorful practice activities for their students.
  • Customers who already have the Color versions of AAR and AAS and would like additional practice.
  • Parents and teachers who use a different reading or spelling program but are looking for fun ways to practice. (The activities work for any word lists.)
How many birds are in Birds of a Feather?

There are nearly 50 species of birds identified in this book!
