H Is for Hippopotamus Craft

H Is for Hippo ABC Craft

Some kids want a hippopotamus for Christmas, but your little one can have fun with this hippo anytime! Download the template for this letter H craft and say hello to your very own happy hippo—no holiday required.

Here’s What You’ll Need

Instructions for Assembling Your Letter H Craft

  1. Print the H Is for Hippopotamus Craft templates.
  2. Cut out the templates and trace the letter H and the hippo’s head, feet, ears, and teeth onto card stock.
  3. Cut out the letter H and the hippo pieces.
  4. Glue the letter H and the hippo pieces onto a full sheet of card stock (we used green, but you can use any color you like) to form a hippo.
  5. Affix two googly eyes to the hippo’s head.
  6. Use a marker to draw the hippo’s nostrils and ear details (see sample on the template for placement).
