In Pancakes for Breakfast, Tomie DePaola, author and/or illustrator of more than 200 books for children, shares an endearing tale of perseverance and determination.

This classic wordless picture book tells the sweet story of an old lady who is hungry for pancakes and decides to do something about it.

However, before she is finally able to enjoy her pancakes, she must overcome a few obstacles!

When she discovers, to her dismay, that she is missing several key ingredients, she must work even harder to accomplish her goal.
