Swimming silently along the silvery shore, this stunning lowercase S craft is sure to cause a stir! You’ll know her by her long, slender neck. If your little one needs to learn the letter S, snatch up this super-sweet ABC Craft soon!
Cut out the templates and trace the letter S and the swan’s wings and beak onto card stock.
Cut out the letter S and the swan’s body parts.
Glue the letter S to a piece of card stock (we used green, but you can use any color you like).
Tuck one wing under the topside of the bottom curve of the letter S and glue in place.
Glue the second wing on top of the other wing, but slightly off-set, so both wings are visible as shown in the video below.
Glue the swan’s beak to the upper end of the letter S.
Use a marker to draw nostrils on the swan’s beak.
Glue a googly eye just above the swan’s beak.
Learning with Your Letter S Craft
As you and your child assemble your S Is for Swan Craft, practice saying /s/–/s/–swan together. You can find more tips for working on pre-reading skills with your preschooler in this handy download.

Hi!
I teach for Outschool. May I please have your permission to use your alphabet letter crafts in my Zoom presentation and post the templates and directions in my classroom? My students must have a password in order to gain access to my presentation and my classroom. I only allow 1-6 students in my class at a time. Thank you for considering my request.
Thank you for sharing these crafts with others that can use them, Jenny! I do the same. My kids are long past this stage but I love these crafts so much that I tell people with young children about them all the time. ?
All About Reading and Spelling have been a great choice for our University Model families and teachers. I love all the support that is provided from your website and blog that includes age- appropriate activities for the younger learners as well as plenty of resources that are well-organized and useful for the older elementary students (and their teachers)!
Jocelyn,
We also have a capital letter S craft, S is for Snake. However, with S there isn’t much differences with capital and lower case, so you could go with whichever animal pleases him most. ?
