Reading and Spelling Review

Taking the time for reading and spelling review is an important part of the learning process, but sometimes it just doesn’t seem “exciting.” But as we all know, review is what makes learning stick. The more kids review what they have learned, the more they will remember.

In fact, regular review is such an important part of learning to read and spell that a review of previously taught skills is built into every lesson in All About Reading and All About Spelling.

As we all know, practice makes perfect, and the same principle applies to reading and spelling. The more children review what they have learned, the better they will retain the information. Reviewing previously taught skills reinforces their understanding, solidifies their knowledge, and helps them apply what they have learned in different contexts.

At All About Learning Press, we prioritize the importance of review, and that’s why a dedicated review of previously taught skills is thoughtfully integrated into every lesson in All About Reading and All About Spelling programs. This deliberate approach ensures that children continually revisit and reinforce their grasp of concepts, ultimately leading to mastery and fluency.

By incorporating regular review into our programs, we empower parents and educators with a powerful tool to maximize their child’s learning potential. These moments of review may seem simple, but they hold the key to unlocking a child’s true reading and spelling capabilities.

But as with any daily task, review can get boring at times. And when a review begins to feel like drudgery, it can lose its effectiveness.

These blog posts can help put the FUN back into review time!
