Introducing All About Spelling Level 3 Color Edition!

Have you heard? All About Spelling Level 3 got a makeover!

Here at All About Learning Press, we’ve always made it a priority to listen to you—our users. Over the years, All About Spelling users have consistently requested two things: activity books and full-color materials. Last year we released the updated Color Editions of All About Spelling Level 1 and Level 2, and now we’re delighted to announce that the gorgeous new Color Edition of All About Spelling Level 3, complete with activity book, is now available!

Here’s What We Changed

When you open the new Color Edition of All About Spelling of Level 3, you’ll find some new and exciting updates!

Full-Color Teacher’s Manual

The Level 3 Teacher’s Manual has been updated with 150+ pages of new material including expanded “Before You Begin” sections and appendices, LOTS of brand-new teaching tips, and even more hands-on learning activities than before. All these features were designed to help make your job as a teacher easier than ever. (Click to see a sample from the All About Spelling Level 3 Color Edition Teacher’s Manual.)

Full-Color Activity Book

The brand-new, full-color Roar into Spelling activity book features over 200 pages and includes a delightful assortment of activities, Word Banks, Word Sorts, and Writing Stations, all designed to help your child succeed in spelling and enjoy it every step of the way. For older students who need more of a challenge, Advanced Application sections provide the opportunity to practice new concepts with higher-level, multisyllable words. You’ll also find full-color pull-out posters with spelling rules so they’re easy to reference any time! (Plus the posters are super cute and feature the hero character. So fun!) (Click to see a sample from the All About Spelling Level 3 Color Edition Activity Book.)

Themed Stickers

We’ve heard it over and over again… your students love those hero characters! That’s why we’ve created custom stickers to correspond with each level! Each sticker pack includes a large sticker of that level’s hero character. Collect all the characters and place them somewhere special once the program is complete!

But as great as these changes are, some of the best things about All About Spelling haven’t changed at all!

Here’s What We Didn’t Change

Our High-Quality Content

All About Spelling has always provided complete and comprehensive instruction using the Orton-Gillingham approach. The new edition still contains everything that makes All About Spelling “easy to learn and easy to teach,” but now there’s even more!

Our “Go Ahead and Use It” Guarantee

Although we are confident that All About Spelling is better than ever, we want you to be just as sure. As always, our guarantee allows you to use All About Spelling for an entire year risk-free. If you purchase it from us and discover within the first year that it’s not for you, simply send it back and we’ll refund your purchase price. No questions asked.

Our Top-Notch Customer Service

If you’ve ever had to contact us with a question about using our products, you know that our customer service team is nothing short of amazing. Whether you contact us over the phone, in an email, or on social media, our team always takes the time to help you solve your problem.

Have Questions about the All About Spelling Color Edition?

Don’t worry, we are here to help! We’ve created a special information page to help give customers a more in-depth view of the Color Edition levels, but here are answers to a few questions you might have. As always, our customer support team is just an e-mail away.

Can I use the black-and-white First Edition Teacher’s Manual with the Color Edition Activity Book?

No. The lessons in the Color Edition were changed slightly and the Color Edition activity book will not line up with the First Edition Teacher’s Manual.

I already used the black-and-white edition of Level 1 and/or Level 2. Can I switch to the Color Edition for Level 3?

Yes, the two editions follow the same scope and sequence, so you can move between the Color Edition and black-and-white versions without any trouble. For example, you can go from black-and-white Level 2 to Color Edition Level 3.

What happened to your Interactive Kits?

We’ve made purchasing even easier! Due to customer feedback, we have phased out our Interactive Kits. Instead, the Letter Tiles now include all tiles needed for all levels of All About Reading and All About Spelling and are purchased separately as a one-time purchase. The divider cards are also now included with the review boxes.

Is there an estimate for the release of the Level 4 in color? We used the color editions for level one and two. My kids do not enjoy the level 3 without color as much. I would really like to be able to do level 4 in color, but also don’t want to have a large gap in time between the levels.

Regina,
All About Spelling Level 4 will be released in the Color Edition this year. We are hoping for this summer. Will that be in time for your needs? If not, let me know. I may be able to offer you ideas for stretching things out or reviewing until Level 4 is available.

Phary

says:

Would like to switch over to the color edition. Can I reuse anything from the black and white edition, like the word cards? Or will I need to buy all new everything?

Robin

says: Customer Service

Phary,
You can use the old Letter Tiles and Spelling Review Books and Divider Tabs, but the First Edition Teacher’s Manual and Cards are not compatible with the Color Edition materials.

We do understand that it’s difficult to not be able to use the First Edition materials that you have with the Color Edition materials. The creator of All About Spelling homeschooled her kids, and many of the staff homeschool as well. We did not make this decision lightly, but after significant customer feedback, we felt that it was important to update it. The First Edition of All About Spelling was released over 16 years ago, and it was time for significant changes.

Is there anything else I can help you with?

Phyllis Sather

says:

This looks interesting

Robin

says: Customer Service

Thank you, Phyllis!

Julie

says:

I’m super excited to see what the Color Edition is all about. I’ve used Level 1 and 2 in the original so pumped to try the color edition for Level 3.

Robin

says: Customer Service

We’re excited too, Julie!

Michelle

says:

Cry, we just purchased the AAS Level 3 in the new year not knowing that the colored version is coming out. I really prefer the colored version because we had used them for Level 1 & 2. I’m finding we are having to learn the old terminologies too (i.e. name game vs VCE). Would it be possible to get a discount for the AAS Level 3 colored version when it comes out?

Robin

says: Customer Service

Michelle,
If you purchased directly from us, you can return the First Edition All About Spelling Level 3 materials you have (even if they are used) for a full refund, excluding shipping. Then you buy the new Color Edition that will be released next week. Here are the details about our one-year “Go Ahead and Use It” guarantee.

Michelle

says:

Oh wow I had no idea! I will do that thank you!

Amber Z.

says:

I’m so excited! I have been checking back on your sight for any info on level 3 coming out! My son is working on level 2 but will be done within the next month or 2. Hopefully by the time he is done with level 3, level 4 will also be released. He did the original level 1 and then colored level 2. I didn’t want to have to go back to the original for level 3 because some of the way they taught the rules is different between editions and he was a little confused on some things going from the original level 1 to colored level 2. I think it would have confused him even more.

Robin

says: Customer Service

Amber,
I’m glad Level 3 will be out in time for your student! It is very likely Level 4 will be released in Color Edition in time for your child as well.

Julie

says:

Exciting. My son should be done with AAS2 in the next month or so. Will order levels 3 and 4 in color as soon as it comes out!

Robin

says: Customer Service

Sounds like perfect timing for you, Julie! Wonderful!

Jacqueline

says:

Do y’all have a potential timeline for the release of the other levels in color?

Robin

says: Customer Service

Good question, Jacqueline. All About Spelling Level 4 will be released in the Color Edition later this year. Then Levels 5, 6, and 7 will follow in order in time. I’m sorry we don’t have a more pinpointed timeline; there are so many complex aspects of publishing.
